BACCARAT
berryCherry Baccarat is played and programmed with Atlantic City Gaming rules.
Authority: New Jersey Casino Control Commission.
Rule Exceptions: The cards are shuffled after each hand.
Two hands are dealt in Baccarat - The banker's
hand and the player's hand. Prior to each deal,
the player wagers on whether the player's hand or the
banker's hand will be closer to a total of 9. The
player also has the option to wager on a tie (i.e.
both the banker's and player's hands total the same).
8 decks of 52 cards are used.
Your chips are stacked by denomination ($1, $5,
$25, $100, $500) to the right of the game window.
Select the amount you would like to wager on this
hand, by clicking on the chip of that denomination,
and then on the desired bet field (Player, Banker or
Tie). To increase your bet, continue clicking on the
desired field until the desired bet is placed. You can
change the selected denomination and continue betting
at any time during the process up until the maximum
bet limit is reached. You can remove your entire bet
by clicking on the CLEAR BET button. Your total
bet will be displayed in the text area immediately
below the table. You may repeat your last bet by
clicking on the REBET button or by simply
hitting the 0 button of your numeric keyboard.
Other keyboard shortcuts are summarized below.
After you have placed the minimum required bet, you
can begin play by clicking on the DEAL button.
Two cards will be dealt face-up to the player and then
to the banker. All tens and picture cards are worth
zero, aces are worth 1, and all other cards are worth
their face value. If the value of cards exceeds 9,
then the value is adjusted by subtracting 10 from the
total.

After the first two cards are dealt to both the
Player and Dealer, a third additional card may be
dealt but the player does not ask for a third card.
All additional cards are subject to a third card rule
(see below). No hand receives more than three cards.
When the player and banker hands equal the same total,
the hand is declared a Tie. If after receiving their
initial two cards, the value of the cards in either
the player's hand or the banker's hand is an 8 or a 9
(a "natural"), then no more cards shall be
dealt to either hand. If the value of the cards in the
banker's hand on the first two cards is 0 to 7
inclusive, the player's hand shall draw in accordance
with the Third Card Rules.
